Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
Breakers (https://socialgameportal.com/breakers/) is a mini-game site: a host opens a room and players join on their phones. This page says what it collects, why, where it is kept and for how long. Contact: arckist@gmail.com.
What we collect
Members and hosts
- When you sign in with Google: the name, email address and Google account ID that Google shares. We ask Google only for basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile). We never get your password, contacts, Drive or anything else.
- Portal sign-in uses the verified member ID, name, email and Google subject to check your rooms and facilitator rights. Portal access and refresh tokens never reach Breakers.
- Your host status (waiting, approved, turned off), when you applied and were approved, and who approved you.
- Each room keeps its creator email and Portal member ID for ownership.
- To stop mass applications, we count new applications per IP hash for one hour.
Players
- The name you type when you join, and when you joined. No account or email is needed.
- Gender (female or male), only in rooms that balance tables by gender.
- Your game answers (rankings), first-impression notes, Q&A questions and question nicknames, stars, personal hides, reports and current voting batch.
- If you choose the question library, your Portal member ID owns a private copy of your questions, nicknames, rounds and completed results. Signing in alone imports nothing; only a participation you explicitly save is copied.
- Your join token, stored on the server only as an unreadable hash.
In your browser
- A player's phone keeps, in browser storage (localStorage), active and archived join details for each participation (player ID, join token, name), the last name used, and whether a seat notice was closed. This lets you rejoin as the same person.
- Signed-in members get a sign-in cookie (30 days) and a short cookie used during sign-in (10 minutes). Guest play needs no login cookie; participants who sign into the question library use the member cookie.
How we use it
- Member details check room ownership. The operator separately designates facilitators.
- Player names and revealed results are shown to the players and host in the same room and to anyone with that room's board link. They are used to run the game and keep score.
- Gender is used only to balance tables and is shown only on the host console.
- First-impression notes are shown only to the person who wrote them. Hosts cannot see them.
- The host can review Q&A questions. Players who submitted a question see others in batches of ten once voting starts. Questions also appear on the room’s board during voting. The host can see vote totals in the management screen. Players receive stars and ranks only after the host finishes the whole Q&A game. Public screens do not receive the text or nickname of a question hidden by reports. Private question history requires that player’s room credentials and loads only when that room’s history is opened.
- When you save sharing, anyone with the link can see the questions you selected, their nicknames, rounds, received stars and ranks. Room names and other people’s questions are excluded. Images are generated in your browser.
- The account question library is private to its signed-in owner. It excludes room titles, other people’s questions, report/hide details and join tokens. Scores are copied only after the whole game finishes and you save again. Private library saves do not create public links.
Ads, analytics and selling
Portal privacy notice and refusal options
Participant speech, corrections, questions, private notes and account fields are excluded from improvement statistics. The Portal measures only credential-free sign-in handoff outcomes; its privacy notice includes refusal options. We do not sell personal information.
Where it is stored
- Vercel runs the site. Its server functions run in Seoul (icn1). Vercel may keep access logs to operate its service.
- Supabase stores rooms, players, answers, notes and host accounts. The database is in Seoul.
- Google handles host sign-in. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google when a page opens.
How long we keep it
- A room and its players, answers and notes stay until the host deletes the room. New ordinary-member rooms close after 24 hours while their records remain. Legacy rooms have no retroactive expiry. Deleting the room deletes them too. A player removed from a room stays in its records until the room is deleted.
- Deleting a Portal account deletes that member’s new ordinary rooms and their player records. Request deletion of legacy facilitator/shared sessions separately.
- Original room Q&A records remain until room deletion. Closed rounds and finished games cannot be edited. Shared links have no automatic expiry and you can revoke them. You can change which questions appear at the same link; creating a new address closes the previous one. Closing a room after 24 hours retains records and completed shares. Removal from the room or room deletion blocks public reads.
- Private account snapshots survive source-room deletion until you delete them in the library or delete your Portal account. Each account may keep up to 1,000 questions and 2MiB. Source edits/deletion are not applied automatically to saved copies. Minimal source/owner claims remain until account deletion to prevent another account from claiming the same participation.
- A rejected host application is deleted at once. Approved or turned-off host accounts stay until the owner deletes them.
- Portal codes expire after 60 seconds; their hashes become eligible for deletion after one hour. Connection sessions expire after 30 days and sign-out revokes them immediately. The existing ten-minute maintenance job deletes expired rows in bounded batches.
- Hashed member request counters limit abuse in one-minute windows without original member IDs or emails. Expired counters are pruned in bounded batches during later requests.
- Application counts by IP hash reset after one hour; expired counters are pruned during later requests.
- The device history uses the 50 most recently remembered participations. Questions you have not explicitly saved to the account do not follow you to another device. Browser data goes away when you clear this site's data; text size is remembered on that device only. The sign-in cookie ends after 30 days or when you sign out.
Asking for deletion
Players can ask the room's host to delete the room, or email arckist@gmail.com with the room name or code and the name they used. Hosts can ask the same address to delete their account record. We will delete it and reply.
